相場晧一先生
【プロフィール】
栃木県足利市生まれ。宇都宮短期大学附属高校音楽科フルート専攻から武蔵野音楽大学入学。首席で卒業し、卒業演奏会に選抜される。加えて武蔵野音大では合唱研究同好会に所属し山田実教授に薫陶を受け、学園祭でのバッハのカンタータやロ短調ミサ（オケ伴抜粋）ストラビンスキーのミサなどの公演に参加。
その後桐朋学園に進みオーケストラ研究生として2年間在学。学長で作曲家の三善晃氏の元で現代音楽を研鑽し、学園の室内楽演奏会オーディションに選抜され青山タワーホールで演奏。研究科終了後にはニューヨークのジュリアード音楽院に留学し大学院修了（Master of Music取得）在学中にアーティストインターナショナルオーディションに合格しカーネギーリサイタルホール（現ワイルリサイタルホール）でデビューリサイタル。ニューヨークタイムスから好評を得る。コロラド州アスペン音楽祭協奏曲コンクール第2位入賞。1990年には、札幌市での第一回パシフィックミュージック音楽祭にて指揮者のレナード・バーンスタイン氏（故人）の公式通訳を務める。90年代より日本で吹奏楽団（学校部活を含む）の指導者として、特に北海道を中心として活動。指導した学校の多くがコンクールに於いて優勝や上位入賞を果たす等、指導者として評価されている。武蔵野音大でフルート演奏を斎藤賀雄、桐朋学園にて野口龍、ジュリアード音楽院でサムエル・バロン、ジュリアス・ベーカー各氏に師事、室内楽を三善晃、ロナルド・ローズマン各氏に師事。現在米国ニューヨーク市に在住。
Koichi Aiba / Conductor
Born in Ashikaga City of Japan. He graduated from Musashino Academia Musicae in 1978 in the flute major, and with honors he performed in the Highest Graduates Concert.
During Musashino period, He was a member of a Choir Circle and sang in the collage’s festivals and nearby churches under the direction of Prof. Minoru Yamada.
He further studied chember music at the TOHO School of Music with Japan's leading composer Mr. Akira Miyoshi and was recommended to perform at a modern music concert sponsored by the school.
In 1980, He came to New York City and was admitted to the Juiliard school as a scholarship student with Prof. Samuel Baron. During his study at Juiliard, He passed the Artist International Audition and made New York debut at the Carnegie Recital Hall (currently known as Weill Recital Hall) in 1984 and was reviewed by the New York Times. He also won the second place in AspenMusic Festival Winds Concert Competition.
In 1990, He became an official translator and interpreter to late maestro Leonard Bernstein at the first Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan.
Since 90’s, Mr. Aiba has been frequently giving his solo recitals in several cities in Japan as well as in New York. Also, he has been invited as a conductor in Japan, and directed many high school, junior high schools and amateur brass bands and orchestras in his home town Ashikaga City, Sapporo, Hokkaido and Tokyo.

嶋田あや 先生
【プロフィール】
北海道小樽市出身。高校在学中に北海道毎日新聞声楽コンクール高等学校の部で金賞受賞。東京藝術大学声楽科在学中より多数のオペラ、演奏会に出演。Mannes College of Musicのディプロマプログラムを名誉賞を得て卒業。クラシックの声楽曲からゴスペルまでのレパートリーをこなす。現在、ウェストチェスターの『花みずき』やニュージャージーの『ハーモニーバスケット』などの女声コーラスを指導、ニューヨーク混声合唱団のヴォイストレーナー、およびニューヨーク日本語教会の音楽主事を勤める。2009年6月から5年間開催されたニューヨーク周辺地区コーラスグループ団体による合同コンサート『Choral Festival of Japan』の発起人で音楽監督でもある。2001年から2004年まで国連人口賞(UN Population Award)授賞式に出演。
ニューヨーク、ニュージャージーの他、メキシコ、カナダでも演奏活動を行う。

「人類という種族には歌う能力がある。人間はそういうふうに作られている」フレデリック・フースラー/著書「うたうこと」より。歌が好きな人間にとって、歌うことは生きていく上で欠かせないことです。歌は喉で歌うと思われがちですが、全身を使って歌います。体の何か一つの機能に気づくことができたら、ひとつ上手に歌えるようになります。そうして私たちは一生を掛けて自らを探求し、更に歌えるようになるのです。歌が好きだけど歌うのに躊躇している方、ぜひ一緒に歌いましょう！
Aya Shimada / Vocal Coach and Music Supervisor
Born in Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan. While attending high school, Ms. Shimada won a gold prize in the High School division of the First Hokkaido Mainichi Vocal Competition. She holds a bachelor of music degree from Tokyo National University of Fine Art and Music. She has performed in numerous operas and concerts including the Young Musicians Concert at the Sapporo Civic Art Festival and Opera Le Nozze di Figaro. She then came to the United States and studied at Mannes College of Music Extension Division where she received a diploma with honors. While expanding her repertoire from classical to gospel music, she has been directing Japanese women chorus groups such as Harmony Basket in New Jersey, Hanamizuki in Westchester County and she is a voice trainer for the New York Mixed Chorus. In addition, she has been a music director at New York Japanese Church. She was also a proposer and music director of the “Choral Festival of Japan,” the first joint event by various Japanese chorus groups in the New York metropolitan area held for five years between June 2009 and 2013. She has been highly acclaimed for her performance at the United Nations Population Award ceremony in New York between 2001 and 2004. Outside Japan and the New York metropolitan area, she has performed in Mexico and Canada as well.

浅沼里香子 先生

岩手県盛岡市出身。武蔵野音楽大学を経て、ニューヨークのマンハッタン音楽院ピアノ科修士課程を修了。これまでロンドン音楽祭オーディションに合格し、ビショップスゲートホール（ロンドン）でのコンサートに出演、セントポール芸術祭（ニューヨーク）、グリンカ・クワイア・カレッジ国際音楽祭（サンクトペテルブルク）などのコンサートシリーズでソロリサイタルを開く。またアーティスト・インターナショナル主催のオーディションに合格し、カーネギーホール（ワイルリサイタルホール）でのニューヨークデビューリサイタルを果たす。ソロ活動の他、室内楽奏者としても幅広い演奏活動を行っている。ボーイズ・クワイア・オブ・ハーレム、ボーイズ・アンド・ガールズ・クワイア・オブ・ハーレム・アラムナイ・アンサンブル、ニューヨーク・シティ・シンフォニー・室内楽などのメンバーとして全米をまわる。その他にも、ニューヨークのカーネギーホール（スターン・オーディトリウム/ペレルマン・ステージ）、アリス・タリー・ホール、スタインウェイ・ホール、国連本部、ワシントンD.C.のジョン・F・ケネディ・センターセンター等でも演奏活動を行う。
【メッセージ】
個性あふれるNYMCのお一人お一人が歌うと一つのスピリットになり、目には見えない心が明らかに見える物のように強い力を発していることを感じながら、リハーサルではいつも圧倒されたり楽しませていただいたりしております。
「音楽」と言いますとコンサートホール、あるいはイベント会場での音楽が多く、「音楽」が世の中から孤立してしまう傾向がありますが、NYMCの皆さんは東日本大震災後（もしかしたらそのずっと前からでしょうか・・）、歌を通して募金活動、支援活動を地道に続けてこられ、音楽が生活に溶け込み、社会にも溶け込んでいることを拝見しまして、そんな皆さんとご一緒できますことは大変光栄です。
Rikako Asanuma / Pianist
Rikako Asanuma is a native of Iwate, Japan, she has performed widely as a soloist & chamber musician. Ms.Asanuma made her New York City debut at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a winner of Artists International. Ms.Asanuma has been presented in the concert series at St.Paul’s Festival of the Arts, Glinka Choir College Hall in St.Petersburg, Russia, and Bishopsgate Hall in London as a winner of the London Music Festival Audition. An avid chamber musician, Ms.Asanuma has toured around the world with various chamber groups such as the New York City Symphony Chamber Ensemble and has worked with the Boys Choir of Harlem as well as the Girls Choir of Harlem. In addition, she has performed at the Stern Auditorium Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Kennedy Center, Steinway Hall, and the United Nations. Ms.Asanuma holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Musashino Academia Musicae in Tokyo and a Master of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
